How this site makes money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. Here is what that means and what it does not change.
Home and Garage Guide is free to read. It is set up to be paid for by affiliate commissions.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a link to a store that includes a code identifying this site. If you follow one and buy something, the store may pay this site a commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway.
How you can tell
Any page that contains affiliate links says so at the top of the page, before the first link. Pages without that notice contain no affiliate links.
What it does not change
- What gets covered. Guides are chosen by what readers need to know, not by which stores pay commissions.
- What gets said. Stores and manufacturers do not review, approve or pay for coverage. If a product has a drawback, the guide says so.
- What you pay. A commission comes out of the store's share, not yours.
